Make My Heart Glow

Today, I wore my warm, fuzzy sweater with my warm, fuzzy mucklucks. I sat outside, under a tree and wrote poetry. I felt the sunshine on my face and the fall wind in my hair.
Who could ask for more?

Everyone tells me it's windy

So I was getting ready to go to a wedding and I thought I would document my outfit. But later I ended up adding an aaaamazing belt, but sadly I didn't take a picture of it this time. I got this little number at Charolette Russe and I love it because it's just a simple black dress. I can pair it with so much of my jewelery which is lovely.
I'm really enjoying everything simple right now. Whoever said that we needed the world? I think we all just need a few basics and some people to love on to bring us joy.

Born from the Corn

jean jacket: borrowed from my sis who bought at GAP
dress: found at a thrift store for $3!! whoot whoot! ya me
hat: Forever 21

So a new kitty has decided to adopt himself into my family. I woke up one day and he was just there, and now he never leaves. My mom named him Patches (lame I know), but he is a sweet cat and he decided to invite himself into my blogpost. haha.
So I got this little dress at a thrift store yesterday and I feel in love. I went into the store just to look and then I ended up neeeeding this dress. I had to run back to my car to get my wallet. So funny. Clothes literally call my name sometimes. It is a perfect fall/summer/spring/winter dress. (also looks a little like a minnie mouse dress)
Have I mentioned that I love fall? Well, I do. I'm in love. If I could live in a house with leaves for walls and sticks for funiture I would. (Isn't that sort of like a gnome or fairy?? cause that rocks)
I've been painting ALOT lately. Today, I was outside painting a huge gust of wind came up and knocked my painting right into me...and the painting had wet oil paints on it. haha
So now I have green oil paint in my hair which is exciting. I loved it though.
I feel more alive and grounded when I am painting. I see things for what they really are and appreciate the life around me. Life is a gift. Beauty is a gift. Everything that we see and breath deserves noticed.
That's what art makes me see and I love it.

Well babies, I heart you
Go eat your veggies and paint something.

Forgot The Most Important Thing!

This is a tag along to the last post.
How could I forget our best friend pictures??
Wow.
Seriously, Best Friends for Life.
Fashion, Life, Chocolate.

Leaf the Summer Behind You

The Leaves are already shedding,
and changing into beautiful colors.

Me and Lunie are getting ready for FALL!

Truth be told, sometimes I like to dress in neutral tones. Neutrals are always a safe place to land whenever one can't decide what to wear or what to match with a signiture outfit. Even in pictures, things tend to look brilliant in black in white. I love black and white pictures like a warm, fuzzy stuffed animal. Absolutely fabulous for fall.

And yes, I know that it isn't fall. But to my defense, I ADORE fall. It's the best season ever. Seriously, if I could live in a big pile of fall leaves and stare at trees for millions of days, I would totally do that. (Although, I would want to be dressed to match my surroundings) Well friends, it's almost time to whip out those sweaters and colored tights. I for one am EXCITED. *screams* Except, I would like to keep the slightly warmer weather going. O, O These pictures are only a preview of what's to come.

I love you babies!! Keep looking at our blog. Me and Luns get busy, but blogging is hard as you well know. We love all your support!!!

Heartsies and peaches,

skirt: Old Navy
shirt: vintage
necklace: vintage
shoes: Khols
hairpin: Homemade by Bella
I went to a city wide garage sale this last weekend. When there are alot of garage sales I always go for the grandma houses first and look for old, vintage clothing. I found this shirt and necklace at one place. I thought it looked 1950's so I snatched it up for a grand total of $1.o0 (yes, I am a talent) and I made the little flower hairpin to go with my outfit.
I hope to get some more awesome vintage finds before the summer is up, so I better be off!

Obsession: The Pretty Reckless

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard of a little show called Gossip Girl. While I'm not a huge fan of the show, I am a huge fan of one of the actresses on the show.
Taylor Momsen.
She's basically awesome.
Think like, baby Courtney Love.
Read: Awesome.
She's got killer rock-baby style; sort of a 90's grunge meets 21st century cool.

Her band, The Pretty Reckless, is on one of my crush playlists right now. I'm on vacation in St. Louis with my family, and I've literally been listening to the two songs of theirs that I own on repeat.

So go check it out and fall in love.

Leaf Me Be

I have a love/hate relationship with nature.
I appreciate the beauty of the trees and flowers and adore the sound of a babbling brook, but I am not an avid fan of bug bites and poison ivy, or those other not "so nice" side effects of nature.

Call me wrong, or chicken salad, but I think world would be a nicer place without those little annoyances. I took these pictures when I was in Colorado on my last day. I was out hiking with my family (Yes, in a skirt).
It was so beautiful and would have been even greater if all those annoying naturey things hadn't been in the same spot as me. What can I say, I'm a city girl.
Well this is Bella, off to explore till my next post.
Love and pita bread!

Color Me With Flowers

I think I was meant to live in floral prints. As soon as I enter a store I migrate automatically towards anything with a flower on it.
What can I say, I'm a girl.
I like pretty things.
And what better time to wear a cute flower printed dress than in Colorado, completely surrounded by nature.

My deepest desire right now is to find a necklace that can make music. I've been looking everywhere. Hopefully God and His angels will decide to bless me with one. (fingers crossed) ....Or maybe you ladies have some suggestions......
I can't believe July is almost over. It's ridiculous how quickly time moves. I'm heading to Ohio to see my college buddies in a few days. It should be fun times. I'll make sure to post some things about it.

Well lovelies, Make sure to do all your favorite summer things.
Don't miss out on any offered adventures.
Just dive in deep into the joys of summer before time runs out!

Love you bugs!!

Casting Lazy Shadows

On Luna:
Headband, Skirt, Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Shoes, Ring, Bracelets: Forever 21

On Bella:
Shirt: Target (From Luna)
Skirt: Forever 21
Necklace: Vintage (From Luna's Grandma)
Earrings: Walmart (From Luna
Shoes: Rue 21

So maybe this isn't the most balanced post. The pictures are sort of wonky spacing-wise, eh? But it is summer. Laziness should be excused, I think.
Yes, that's what we'll say.
I'm embracing the laziness that summer expects. That's right, EXPECTS. Don't want to let down mother nature, do we?
That's what I thought.
So get down with your lazy self and let me know how very lazy you've been in a comment.
... or not. You know, being lazy might not allow for making the effort to comment. :)
Love and Heartburn,
Luna
(Yes, heartburn. Why? Because it's the first thing that crossed my mind. :) )
